One integrated team from concept through completion, with no gaps between design and execution.
Our own craftspeople execute the work. No subcontractors, no variance in quality or accountability.
The same crews and safety culture from your capital projects, keeping your facility running in between.
CR Meyer's name on the project means CR Meyer's people doing the work. One accountable team, start to finish.
OSHA VPP Star-level safety isn't a program. It's how every crew operates, every day.
Decades of experience executing complex projects in facilities that never stop running.
Where CR Meyer invests in the next generation of craft and project leadership.
135+ years of industrial construction, built on doing the work ourselves.
Our team is ready to help you plan, design, and build with confidence.
Since 1888, grown from a regional trades contractor into one of the top industrial contractors in the country.
The experienced leaders and craftspeople behind every CR Meyer project.
Midwest-based facilities, positioned to serve industrial clients wherever the work takes us.
Trades, engineering, and project management opportunities with a contractor that invests in its people.
A manufacturer needed more than a contractor to install a new coated recycled paperboard (CRB) machine. They needed a partner to build an entire 119-acre production campus from the ground up, and deliver it at scale.
Our pulp and paper customer needed more than a construction crew to build their new greenfield tissuemaking and converting campus in Macon, Georgia. They needed a single partner who could deliver an entire production ecosystem — from raw site to fully operational facility — at a scale few contractors can manage.
Our pulp and paper customer needed to expand their converting capacity with four new production lines — and needed a contractor who could coordinate complex, multi-system installations with precision, on time and on budget.
This mining project required construction across two distinct sites in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula — a historic mill renovation and an all-new mine facility — simultaneously, in one of the most demanding winter climates in the Midwest.
Our hydro/power customer needed to replace aging generating units at their Iron Mountain hydroelectric facility with a modern, higher-capacity powerhouse — a $64 million project that combined heavy civil construction, precision turbine installation, and complex waterfront work on an active energy site.
A mining customer needed to replace aging infrastructure and increase material conveyance capacity at their Drummond Island quarry operation. The solution required civil, structural, and mechanical construction across a working mining site, delivered on a compressed timeline.
CR Meyer was contracted by the equipment manufacturer to replace the headbox on Paper Machine #2 at a customer in Menominee, Michigan.
CR Meyer was contracted by the equipment manufacturer to remove the existing lamellas and install the newly designed equipment. This scope included new steam chests, entrainment separators, and associated piping.
Our customer needed water, air, and sanitary piping for their woodyard improvements. CR Meyer was responsible for the deep excavation, all rebar and concrete for the base/walls of the sump pit, all the piping, and the installation of two bar screens and two pumps.
CR Meyer was awarded the installation of a Coated Board Machine. This project included all aspects of the machine erection including alignment and on-machine piping. The new paper machine was connected to the existing mill with a 600 ft roll conveyor. CR Meyer also completed an upgrade to the existing OCC plant.
CR Meyer was responsible for demolition of the old dust collection equipment and installation of a new ID fan, stack, baghouse, and all related foundations.
The construction project was a five-phase, $18.5 million project. Thirty thousand square feet of their existing building was renovated and thirty thousand square feet was added. The renovation included an expansion of its Radford Center, and the newly remodeled J. Wilcox Head Start Building, which is to be shared between the Boys & Girls Clubs and UW Oshkosh's Head Start program.
This project involved the construction of a new particle board manufacturing facility from a greenfield site. The facility will have a production capacity of 800,000 cubic meters per year - making it the largest particle board plant in North America with the largest 10 ft wide continuous particle board press in the world.
After forty plus years, some of the existing steel located in a calcium chloride facility was getting thin. CR Meyer was tasked with rebuilding the upper steel structure of the D Bulk Hopper which included the conveying equipment and process piping.
Due to age, the existing steel was compromised and there was potential of failure if deterioration continued. CR Meyer was tasked with the demolition and replacement of approximately 1,850 square feet of steel in three spill tubes. Each tube required 1,265 1" holes be drilled ten inches deep for anchor installation.
Since the previous warehouse was not large enough to meet storage needs, the client tasked CR Meyer with the construction of a new 17,000 square foot warehouse to store paper rolls produced from their #1 & #2 paper machines. Increased storage capacity allowed for more flexibility with shipping and eliminated the concern of not being able to protect valuable product.
The Turbine/Generator project required CR Meyer to demolish the existing Salt Cake Towers followed by the construction of the EPC Buildings, Cooling Tower Foundation, Pipe Bridge & Foundation, Piping, and the Electrical Instrumentation.
Installation of a new 20 MW Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant for the Chesapeake Utility Corporation at the Eight Flags Energy Amelia Island plant in Fernandina Beach Florida. Awarded CHP Project of the Year in 2016.
CR Meyer was the general contractor responsible for the removal of two existing Tissue Machines to make room for a new Tissue Machine.
The Owner wanted to convert an uncoated freesheet paper machine to a filtration paper machine. The conversion included the complete replacement of the Wet-End, reconfiguration of the Dryer Section, installation of a Thru-Air Dryer, and replacement of the Reel Section.
As part of a campus energy optimization project, the University decided to install a new biomass fueled cogeneration combined heat and power (CHP) plant as an addition to the existing plant that will provide guaranteed cost savings.
CR Meyer was the general contractor responsible for converting an existing Paper Machine into a Valmet A1 Fluff Pulp Machine.
The project involved the installation and alignment of 1,000 feet of pre-drilled and tapped machine sole plates, 47 machine drives, as well as unloading and marshalling of 320 sea containers.
A California facility needed to produce full power on-site for the total operation of the paper mill, including two paper machines and converting facilities.
CR Meyer was the general contractor responsible for the installation of a new Metso StreamLine Pro wrapping and handling system. Constructability reviews were held early in the project to reduce potential risks due to subgrade ground water.
Tri County Distributors needed a new facility to accommodate their rapid growth and meet standards set by Anheuser-Busch. The center was designed to create a plant work environment conducive to communication and teamwork. With 54,400 square feet of distribution area and 12,200 square feet of office space, the project was fast-tracked.
The Owners' existing paper machine was in need of a major rebuild, in order to meet their client's needs. By choosing CR Meyer, the Owner had confidence that the project would be completed on-time, minimizing their downtime so as to be back to full production as quick as possible.
The Owner needed additional sand screening capacity at their Western Wisconsin mine. CR Meyer was tasked with laying out the process, designing and constructing the equipment supports and foundations, designing and constructing the buildings.
A generator company had a well-crafted strategic plan and a sound vision for the future. A part of that vision was to design and construct a new, technologically advanced, highly efficient manufacturing facility to accommodate current growth and to place the organization in a favorable position for the future.
The purpose of the project was to install Indirect Coal Firing Systems on two existing kilns. The project was in alignment with the goal of reducing S02 and NOx emissions in North America.
