Office/Distribution Center

Appleton, WI

Industry: Food and Beverage

Project Scope

Tri County Distributors needed a new facility to accommodate their rapid growth and meet standards set by Anheuser-Busch. The center was designed to create a plant work environment conducive to communication and teamwork. With 54,400 square feet of distribution area and 12,200 square feet of office space, the project was fast-tracked.

The majority of this 6-month construction build project took place during the winter. In order to minimize costs associated with winter construction, CR Meyer immediately constructed foundations prior to the arrival of cold weather. Structural steel was erected, pre-cast wall sections were placed around the steel framework, and the roof was installed. Once enclosed, the building shell was supplied with temporary heat to complete the interior construction. CR Meyer also developed a unique approach to improve thermal barriers between the beverage coolers and the surrounding work areas. This resulted in greatly reducing the condensation problems typically found in such facilities.
